I wanted to review Harry Charalambous as part of my Needs Assessment on Friday 16th April. I cannot recommend him highly enough for the quality of service, care, clarity, reassurance, knowledge, professionalism and kindness shown to me throughout. I was nervous about the assessment and he put me at ease from the start, explaining the process so clearly, practising great active listening skills and summarising my thoughts and words so aptly. I was blown away by the support offered - Thank you!

today I had an assessment with Christalla, my nervous were gone talking to someone about how my disability affects me, but wow she was amazing, I have never felt so comfortable, I was really overwhelmed by the support and can not thank you enough for your help .

Great help to me. I went years and years avoiding every dyslexic test because I was scared of the results which was ridiculous. Finding the results and that I need help has helped me emensly at uni. And Neil was a great instructor on teaching us about the equipment.

Professional and quick service

The access 1st team were really helpful in organising my needs assessment and answering all my questions - I really appreciated being able to have someone explain it to me on the phone beforehand. Christalla was very kind and helped me feel comfortable and understand everything throughout the appointment. A great service thank you!

I was actually quite stressed ahead of this call as I did not know what to expect, however, thanks to Christalla, it was a very pleasant and helpful conversation. It was lovely speaking with Christalla ! as she explained the process very well, and based on the needs and requirements, she was also able to advise on various aspects, including softwares and apps.

Access first have been very helpful. They complete a thorough and detail assessment of my needs which have help me to understand my needs and continue with studying on my course. It has been very difficult studying this year and without the support provided, I would have been unable to continue studying. Access first have provided me with tools to aid my day to day learning and living and I very grateful for their help. Thank you to Markella and the team.

I am very thankful to receive the assistance that was offered to me by Christalla who was very patient and supportive during this time. The service has given me confidence and a greater willingness to get back into study with a service that aims to support as much as possible. Raising my awareness that I learn in a different way that wasn’t addressed in earlier years of education and enabling me to see that I can still enjoy education when offered the right tools to support my journey.

The assessment was OK, the host was understanding, polite and advised me about the interview process and how it works.

Christalla was very patient with us when we caused a delay of 20 minutes due to technology difficulties at our end and she helped us find a way to talk remotely. She was very understanding of the challenges that hearing impaired students have to face and pleasant to talk to. Thank you!
